Lincoln Turners (Chicago, Ill.) records, ca. 1885-1994.

Records of the Lincoln Turners (Turn Verein Lincoln), a German American athletic club with facilities at 1019 W. Diversey, including: board of trustees minutes; membership rosters (recording dues paid); financial reports and ledgers; copies of the club newsletter; newsclippings; programs; copies of Lincoln Turner annual reports to the American Turners (a national umbrella organization for local Turner clubs); convention brochures from the Illinois District of the American Turners; committee reports; correspondence with members; and memos. Also present are several nineteenth-century books, published in Germany, which discuss the origins, purpose, and methods of the Turner movement.
